2011 Kickoff

Hello Faithful Friends,

We have begun 2011 with a bang! As you know, our beloved Shiloh passed away in December.  We miss her terribly but are grateful for the wonderful years the Lord gave us with her.  Her successor, Pepper, is now four months old, and she is learning quickly.  She will be another great dog, and we're trusting she'll be a useful vessel for the Lord.

Evangelism outreach is scheduled at Collin county for this year, please see our calendar page, and many speaking events have been booked for “the guy and the dog”. If your church, school or group would be interested in having Les & Pepper come out, just email and check on available dates and times. Also, Allen Dee is a consummate presenter and evangelist.

FFM has been encouraged to mentor the youth we visit evangelically. We can schedule revisiting youth at Collin County, and we are now allowed to become active in the students' lives after they are released. Special guidelines apply for this, so be sure to get in touch with Jennifer or me to get the scoop.   Twice monthly (first and third Sundays) FFM is going into Collin County to conduct Bible study/mentoring classes.

Individual opportunities are available to become involved in students lives as well as organizations. For instance Prestonwood Baptist church has PALS and COA programs where youth can go hunting and fishing with their mentors. Last year I took one of the kids I mentor to a program in McKinney that taught the kids woodworking skills and basic mechanics.

I will have more for you later. Hope to see you at our next FFM program or to hear from you as the Spirit moves you.

In His will,
Les
